School: Waiʻanae Elementary School
Grade Level: Grades 9-12
Teacher: Joshua Arant
Driving Question: How do we as students design, build, program and document an Electro-Mechanical device that requires software to compete in multiple robotic competitions both in-person and virtually?
What did the students DO?
The students of the WHS Searider Robotics Team were very determined to start a team but they needed a teacher. They went on a hunt and finally landed at a “yes” from Kumu Joshua Arant. The team participated in in-person competitions as well as online challenges which increased their love of robotics and skills in the field. They worked well as a team and made it to the world’s competition to compete in virtual challenges.
