Game Development | 2019-2020

School: Nānākuli High & Intermediate School
Grade Level: 9-12
Teacher: Jeff Vierra and Alika Sphan Naihe

Driving Question: How can we, as students of Nānākuli High and Intermediate School, develop a strategic, interactive game that focuses on the issues of our community?

Game development students take very real, and sometimes tricky, community topics and issues and develop games to try and solve these issues in a fun and engaging way. Students address issues that are personally meaningful for them, such as depression or the health of their ahupua’a, and research, create art, test logarithms, etc. to develop these games.
