School: Nānāikapono Elementary School
Grade Level: Grades K-6
Teacher: Lynda Sniffen, Zeena Kahalekai, Nani Kahalehoe

Driving Question: How can we, as the students of Nā Huluhulu ‘O Nānāikapono, retell stories/share our family history to our community? How can hula help to strengthen my mind, body and connection to culture? How can ‘Olelo/’Āina based projects/hula keep me connected to my culture?

The haumana of the Nā Huluhulu o Nānāikapono PALS group focused on understanding the place that they are from and who they are in that place, Nānākuli. They shared in mo‘olelo, hula, kapa workshops, ‘olelo and ohana. The haumana learned the importance of cultural connections and how they strengthens them as an individual and ohana.
