Nānākuli Gardeners | 2019-2020

School: Nānākuli High & Intermediate School
Grade Level: Credit Recovery, Grades 7 & 8

Driving Question: How can we create a healthy and sustainable garden that will feed us?

The students in this group restored the garden at the Boys & Girls Club Teen Center in Nānākuli, planting cassava, sugar cane, and kalo. They also enjoyed making supplements out of moringa and pickling ung choy from their garden. They even started a business plan to begin marketing their products.
